Coconut Oil Hair Care

A Natural Hair Treatment
that Really Works!

Coconut oil hair care is actually a traditional hair treatment the Pacific Islanders have used for very long time.

The reason is they live in the remote area where the palm trees are everywhere.

They live in the area where their hair can easily get damaged by strong sunlight exposure, diving to catch sea animals, corals and pearls.

However, they still have the healthy beautiful hair.

In fact, their hair is excellent and incomparable!

Many scientific studies have supported the belief in which coconut oil can make the hair soft and shiny. They found out that coconut oil can repair the damaged hair from brushing, and helps keep the hair healthy.

Such studies have been reported in Journal of Cosmetic Science regarding how coconut oil hair care does improve the hair health (Rele and Mohile 2003).

Coconut Oil Hair Benefits

Coconut oil is a great nature gift you can get on earth. It could be the healthiest oil for human in the world.

Let's take a look at what the coconut oil can do for your hair:

Improve Your Hair Condition

Coconut oil is an excellent hair conditioner. Small fatty acid agents quickly absorb into the hair shaft and help nourish deeply from the root to the end. The oil gives you the natural moisturizer coated on the hair so your hair becomes soft and shiny.

Treat Your Scalp

Antibacterial agents in a coconut oil can deal with the disease on your scalp. This is 'root cause' solution to removing dandruff. In addition, a powerful antioxidant in vitamin E helps delay the aging on your scalp, leaving only healthy scalp.

Keep Your Hair Healthy

Here's the reason why coconut oil hair care does work...

The reason is that it can reduce the loss of hair protein.

Yes, there are many things that cause hair protein loss. However, we lose it by age. It's out of control. The older we are, the less of hair protein we have.

The best way we can do is to delay the loss of hair protein as long as possible. And the coconut oil can help us.

Let's take a look at what's inside the hair and why the common hair oil products don't give you any help at all...

What's Inside Our Hair?

The hair comes from the cell's growth in the dermis layer under the scalp. When the cell grows up, it pushes the hair up, causing the death portion. And the hair keeps extending out continuously.

The hair comes with three main portions:
  • Cuticle (outer layer) - It protects the inner layers from the damage.
  • Cortex (inner layer) - It gives the hair elasticity and shape. Cortex contains the pigment that reflects the hair color. This layer helps maintain the moisture in a proper level.
  • Medulla (the core) - In Medulla, round, loosely bound cells are made up to the protein keratin. It can be broken down, and is not even present.
All are critical to the hair health. If the outermost layer is in a good condition, we will have a strong and healthy hair.

In the inner layer, there's protein called Keratin. It looks like a fibrous bundle. Keratin is the essential nutrient to your hair health.

Normally, hair protein keeps losing by age. But it will be faster if you do things that cause hair damaged. For example, hair curling, hair coloring, hair brushing, hair dry-blowing, etc.

Fortunately, with coconut oil hair care, you can reduce the protein loss. The reason is coconut oil has a good natural affinity with protein in your hair. Plus, it has lots of small molecules (MCFAs) that penetrate into the hair shaft very easily.

Sunflower oil and mineral oil which are the primary ingredients of the hair oil products in the market do nothing to keep your hair healthy.

Why? Because they mainly compose of large fatty acid molecules that are difficult to absorb into your hair.

That's it ;-)

How to Apply Coconut Oil for Hair

It is very easy to treat your hair with coconut oil. The details of how to do it slightly vary, depending on the condition you've got.

Let's get started...

1. Dry and Damaged Hair

  • Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and put it in your palm. In case of a white solid fat, you need to rub it with both palms until it melts into the oil.
  • Gently massage your hair with coconut oil (do it while your hair is dry).
  • Leave it for 30 minutes or more (better for 1 hour).
  • Then shampoo it as usual (follow with conditioner if you want).
  • Rinse it out.
Try doing it 2-3 times a week. Your damaged hair will gradually become soft and silky shine.

2. Hair Loss

Do exactly the same as above. After using 4-5 times, you should start seeing the result that you have less hair loss.

3. Split Ends

In case of split ends, you should start seeing the result within 2-3 months.

4. Scalp Diseases

  • Gently massage your hair with coconut oil before going to sleep at night (do it while your hair is dry).
  • Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it over night.
  • Then wash it out in the morning after you wake up.
For best result, it is recommended doing every day.

5. Hair Growth

Treat your hair with coconut oil overnight, same as the case of scalp diseases.

You should see your hair start growing within 1-3 months of use. At first, you can notice a small thin hair coming out on your scalp. Then the new hair keeps growing and becomes thicker. Ultimately, you will have a lot of healthy hair growing up thoroughly.

I believe that coconut oil hair care absolutely does work. By the way, you can save a lot of expenses on the hair transplant course ;-)

6. Dandruff and Fungus

Simply treat your hair like the way you treat it for the case of scalp diseases. Within a week or two, you should see that the dandruff or fungus begins fading away.

Tips for Hair & Scalp Care

To get the best result from coconut oil hair care, you should stop using hair conditioner, and replace your current shampoo with a very gentle shampoo like baby shampoo, for example.

To make coconut oil shampoo, take 200-300 ml. of baby shampoo, and mix with 3 cc. of coconut oil. Shake well and you are now ready to use.

Keep in mind that you need to shampoo your hair during treatment period. Keep doing until you have the complete restored hair.

I recommend that you should continue using gentle shampoo even if your hair is restored to normal condition. Just believe in coconut oil hair treatment. And it really works. ;-)

Coconut oil hair care is a wonderful natural hair treatment. It really helps restore your hair and keep your hair healthy every day.

With the nutrients in coconut oil, your hair will become soft, smooth and shiny like never before.

Coconut Massage Oil - The Best Massage Oil for Skin

7 Reasons Why Coconut Oil is
the Best Massage Oil of All Time

Coconut massage oil is actually the most suitable oil for body massage therapy.

Today more and more massage therapy professionals are now using coconut oil to best soothe and remedy the skin and muscle injury for their patients.

Coconut oil keeps the skin soothing and healthy. The oil can also relieve muscle injury, and quickly help restore connective tissue under the skin.

As you gently rub the skin with coconut oil, the oil will stimulate blood circulation which brings more oxygen to tissues and they are revitalized, giving an increase in metabolism too.

The interesting part I love is that it doesn't leave stains on the massage table sheet or the mattress while massaging. Even if the oil is spilled out on the bed, the stain can be washed out very easily. This is what makes coconut different from other oils.

Coconut oil alone would be good enough for use as the massage oil due to many benefits of coconut oil. You can feel soft and smooth skin if you use coconut oil for skin.

However, with a quick absorption property, a lot of massage therapists are likely applying coconut oil as carrier oil with other quality mono-unsaturated oils such as almond oil and jojoba oil, for example.

With the 1:2 ingredient ratio of almond oil to coconut oil, you can feel smoother when applying the oil on the skin. The massage oil will seeps into the skin between the patient and a massage therapist.
Let's see why coconut oil is the most suitable oil when it comes to body massage therapy:

  1. It is very stable oil because of high concentration of Medium Chain Fatty Acids (Saturated Fats). When you rub the oil on your skin and leave it for hours, the oil won't go rancid and damage your skin or cause any infections.
  2. With powerful anti microbial agents like Lauric Acid and Capric Acid, your skin is safe from microbes infection.
  3. When massaging the skin, Saturated fats layer helps keeping moisture under the skin last longer. Coconut oil moisturizer protects your skin from drying and cracking, especially in the winter time.
  4. Coconut oil is rich in Vitamin-E (including rare, potential nourishing type called Tocotrienol). It is essential to keep your skin rejuvenated and healthy.
  5. Highly powerful antioxidants in coconut oil can really keep you from skin wrinkle and other premature aging like sagging, peeling and de-coloring. This will make you look younger than other people in the same age.
  6. Due to a lot of Medium Chain Fatty Acids, coconut oil can be absorbed into the skin very easily. With this property, it becomes great carrier oil for other herbal extracts, essential oils, etc. On top of that, unlike other oils, coconut oil never leaves greasy feeling on your skin at all.
  7. You can feel a slightly fresh coconut aroma while massaging. Coconut massage oil gives you natural and soothing feeling that helps you fresh all day long, and keeps unpleasant body odor at bay.

Traditional Massage Oil

Actually, coconut oil has been traditionally used for thousands of years around the world, particularly in India and other coastal areas such as Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Java, Sri Lanka and some Lain American countries.

The South Pacific Islanders have been rubbing their skin with coconut oil since they were born. The mother rubs the baby's skin with coconut oil once she'd given birth. They use coconut oil to rub the skin every day. That's why their skin looks young and healthy even in the age of seventies!

Coconut massage oil was initially used in Ayuravedic massage. Till now, a lot of people are spending their fortune just to get soothing and relaxed from high quality massage therapy. Today it is more popular over the world.

What about Your Hair and Scalp?

Coconut oil is safe for your hair and scalp. If you use coconut oil for hair, your hair will become healthy, soft and silky shine. It also helps nourish your scalp and keep you from any scalp diseases.
Of course you can get such result by simply giving a gentle massage with virgin, organic coconut oil to your skin, hair and scalp on a regular basis.

How to Choose the Best Coconut Massage Oil

Choosing the best coconut massage oil is necessary to improving your health. The rule of thumb for choosing the best massage oil is that if the oil is good enough to be ingested, it will be suitable for skin massage as well.

Coconut Oil For Cellulite

March 16, 2017
Coconut Oil For Cellulite
Upon doing a lot of research on finding the best cellulite treatment, I came across this anti-cellulite recipe made from coconut oil and coffee grinds. It turns out that coconut oil and coffee together are excellent for treating cellulite. Coffee is often the very first ingredient in many cellulite creams you will find on the shelves.

Home-Made Lotion:

What you will need:
  • organic coconut oil
  • coffee grinds
  • glass container
  • spoon
  • fine mesh strainer

Step 1

If the coconut oil is in solid form, you want to turn it to liquid simply by gently heating some up. Put a few tablespoons of c.o. into a glass container and place it in a small pot of hot water until it turns to liquid.

If your coconut oil is already in liquid form, you still want to heat it up a bit before adding the coffee grinds.

Step 2

Add a few tablespoons of fresh, unused coffee grinds to the c.o.

Step 3

Let the coffee grinds steep for a few minutes, then strain the mixture with a fine mesh strainer. Some of the grinds will pass through, this is perfectly fine.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into a container and put it in the refrigerator to set.

It doesn’t take long at all to set, so you will be on your way to treating your cellulite with your very own home-made lotion.

My Morning Routine:

Before I take a shower or bath in the morning, I dry brush my skin to remove the dead skin cells. This is something I just learned about and it helps to eliminate toxins from the body by stimulating the blood flow.

With dry brushing, you’re basically unclogging your pores so toxins can exit the body, improving the texture of your skin, and getting rid of cellulite. It also helps the coconut oil to enter the body and nourish the skin.

Step 1: Dry Brushing

This process just takes a few minutes. You want to get a brush with boar bristles or fibers from plants. Avoid ones that are too harsh on the skin. You can start off with a loofah.

Starting with your feet, move towards the heart in a circular motion. From your feet, dry brush one leg at a time, starting with the back then moving to the front of the leg, one at at time.

Remember to always use circular movements towards the heart. You want to avoid sensitive areas such as your face, the inside of your thighs, and your nipples.

I usually do this in the shower with the water off.

Step 2: Take Your Shower/Bath

After you are done dry brushing the dead skin cells, go ahead and take your usual shower or bath.

Step 3: Moisturize Your Body

Moisturize your body. Use the anti-cellulite lotion you made in the those areas where you have cellulite.

The Results:

You should definitely feel and notice a difference just after the first use. However, you should do this daily or at least every other day to treat cellulite.

The Miracle "FAT-BURNING Oil"

Coconut Oil Weight Loss is the natural way to lose weight without the use of medical drugs.

If your answer to the question " Am I too fat? " is YES, and you want to lose weight now, congratulations!

You've come to the right place where you'll learn how coconut oil can help you out more efficiently and naturally.

Goodbye to Love Handles

Let me share my experience for a moment...

I started finding out the way to lose weight when my stomach began getting bigger and my weight went up for 7 pounds in one month.

Oh! How could it be?

One day, I came across a healthcare channel on a television. They were talking about Coconut Oil Weight Loss. made me surprised at how incredible benefits of this tropical oil are.

I thought if it works for other people, it should work for me as well. So I decided to try it out.

After I used it for daily eating (and body massage once a week), believe it or not, I did lose my weight down for three pounds in one week, and over nine pounds just in one month.
My love handles started shrinking and my stomach began getting flat.

So I continue to lose weight with coconut oil everyday. I've found myself having no weight gain since I took coconut oil. What I like the most is that I can still enjoy my favorite food without any weight gain ;-)

The Lowest Calorie Oil

In this "Coconut Oil Weight Loss" topic, you'll learn how coconut oil can help you lose weight despite Saturated fats.

Coconut oil can reduce the leftover fat in your body. This is because coconut oil gives the lowest calories to the body, whereas the other vegetable oils don't.

So you will no longer have weight gain if you take coconut oil regularly. Simply put coconut oil in your diet, and you can enjoy the same favorite food with the lowest calorie possible.

Here's the interesting story about the farmers...

During the post Second World War, coconut oil price was downright cheap. This is because American Soybean Association (ASA) blamed coconut oil as an unhealthy oil, causing high cholesterol and heart disease.

Yes, people did avoid it. This made the coconut oil price very cheap. However, the farmers could afford it. They wanted to fatten the livestock with coconut oil.

After raising the animal with coconut oil, they found out that the animals became skinny instead of fleshy.

- Peat 1996

You see that the 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' approach still even works on the animal. It sounds good.

Here's How It Works! need a little technical detail to understand why 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' is the excellent choice to many people who want to lose weight naturally.

Let's get started...

Over 95% of typical vegetable oils we eat everyday contain very much of long-chained fatty acids (LCFAs). They all are Unsaturated fats.

Coconut oil is predominantly composed of medium-chained fatty acids (MCFAs). This is totally different from the fats that many typical vegetable oils have.

Fatty Oils

Most vegetable oils like soybean oil, sunflower oil, canola oil goes through your stomach and pass along to your intestinal tract where the primary digestion starts.

To begin the digestion, it needs pancreatic digestive enzymes and bile to break it down into free fatty acids. And then, free fatty acids are able to absorb into the intestinal wall, and convert into the small bundles of fat and lipoproteins.

These lipoproteins will circulate through the bloodstream, releasing particles of fat that collects in our fat cells.

'Digestive Friendly' Oil

The medium-chained fatty acids in coconut oil can be digested very easily. The digestive process is much different from the long-chained. This is the fact to support the truth about 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' topic.

What makes it different is that the medium-chained fatty acids do NOT need pancreatic enzymes to digest. They also do NOT need bile to break them down when they go through the intestine tract.

MCFAs can be broken down into free fatty acids by itself. The free fatty acids can then absorb instantly into the portal vein and go directly to the liver.

This is an excellent source of energy for the liver. So the liver burns them for energy instantly.

Metabolism Boost

You can see that the MCFAs bypass the lipoprotein step that occurs in the intestinal wall. It means that there're no particles of fat circulating through the bloodstream.

What they do is produce energy for you, not collect the fat in body's cell. Fat burning in coconut oil is much different from the one in vegetable oil containing lots of unsaturated fats.

Moreover, the MCFAs stimulate your metabolism for more than 24 hours after finishing each meal. With higher metabolism, you can gain more energy during the day.

From above, you can see that the 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' approach REALLY does work!

A slow metabolism is the result from the sluggish thyroid gland. This is because the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough hormone to control metabolism in the body.

So you have a lower metabolism, causing low body energy. You feel tired very easily. Sometimes you gain weight for no reason.

"How does the 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' help the hypothyroidism?" you ask.
What the coconut oil thyroid treatment works is that it just kicks starting the thyroid gland to function faster. So you have a higher metabolism.

The medium-chained fatty acids in coconut oil will stimulate the metabolism in your body. This will raise the body temperature by one or two degree Celsius, or even more, depending on the amount of coconut oil you take.

Of course, with the metabolism boost, you can also lose some extra weight caused by hypothyroidism.

Lose 36 Pounds in One Year!

Coconut oil helps you reduce food craving. You will feel full longer if you take a meal with coconut oil. Therefore, you will eat lesser on the next meal, because you don't hungry so much.

And this will make you lose weight easily.

Studies have proven the result from eating the food cooked with the MCFAs oil. It really helps you lose 36 pounds a year without changing your eating habit at all.

- St-Onge and Jones (2002)

All you need to do is simply eat coconut oil everyday. Yes, you can even eat it with your favorite food during the day.

If you keep on doing this, I believe you can REALLY lose weight in certain period of time.
Imagine... How would you feel if you have a slimming body shape while you're enjoying your favorite foods as usual?

With coconut oil, anyone can lose weight without suffering from food craving or eating tasteless Low-Fat diet Foods that costs you even more.

The 'Coconut Oil Weight Loss' approach might be the wise choice for you to lose weight naturally without side effects. Try it today and you'll be glad you did!

The studies of Consumer Behavior show that over 75% of the consumers will keep changing the product repeatedly.

You think the brand new one could be better than the old one.

Is that you?

If so, I encourage you to read the following. And in minutes, you will be realizing why coconut oil is excellent for the natural skin moisturizer and softener.

The Secret about Skin Lotion

WARNING: Did you know that the skin lotions you're using may cause the skin aging faster than you've ever thought of?

Many body lotions in the market are predominantly composed of water.

Yes, water or aqua as seen on the ingredient label. You bought the lotion containing a lot of water inside.

It is a common ingredient that most manufacturers have added into many different kinds of lotion.

Have you ever noticed that your skin becomes soft and smooth right after you applied the skin lotion and cream?

Yes, you should be.

Of course your skin has a better look and feel.

But...Before long, the soft and smooth conditions gradually fade away, and the dry, flaking and sagging skin returns.

Because when you apply the lotion, the water quickly absorbs into your skin. The skin connective tissue expands by the water filling. And that's why the dry wrinkles are removed. So your skin becomes soft and smooth.

However, it works for a while, unlike coconut oil moisturizer.

As soon as the water evaporates or is taken away by the blood stream, the wrinkled and dry skin comes back.

Why Does the Wrinkle Come Quickly?

Another ingredient mostly found in the lotion is the refined vegetable oil. They usually put it in order to help moisturize your skin.

But it gives you more...

That is free radical.

Today we are taking vegetable oil every single day. We cook it most of the time. Sadly, we don't realize that it gives us very little antioxidant.

Yeah, we also get the free radical ever more.

In addition, the oil could be changed to Trans fats very easily if you cook it under high temperatures. That's right, Trans fats.

We all know Trans fats give us many negative effects to our health. They cause health problems including the body's cell damage.

That's why we have wrinkles faster than the age.

How to Delay Wrinkles?

Coconut Oil Moisturizer - A Natural Way for Skin Moisturizer
Our skin is made up of several connective tissues. They make the skin flexible and strong enough to a great extent.

When we were young, our skin was perfectly soft and smooth because of healthy connective tissues.

As we are older, the connective tissues constantly get damaged by free radicals.

They come from anywhere, such as eating, breathing, smoking and lifestyle change.

Weak connective tissues lose their ability to hold them all. So our skin becomes dry and sagging.
Free radicals activate skin aging and other diseases like skin cancer, for example.

The skin lotion can only keep your skin soft and smooth for a while. Sooner or later, your skin returns to be dry, sagging and wrinkled.

It would be even worse if you apply the skin lotion with refined vegetable oil added.

Right...You are more likely to have skin aging faster!

Coconut oil moisturizer can help you out.

Here are the benefits:
  • The powerful antioxidants reduce the number of free radicals while nourishing your skin. So your skin become fresh and glow.

  • Medium-chained fatty acids (MCFAs) make the oil light and quickly absorb into your skin deeply, leaving no sticky touch.

  • The Vitamin E keeps nourishing and moisturizing your skin longer. Your skin will become soft and smooth naturally.

Here's How I Apply the Oil...

Personally I always apply virgin coconut oil as skin moisturizer everyday.

I use coconut oil after shower. Wipe the body dry, and then take a teaspoon or two of coconut oil and put it into the palm. Massage over my limbs and trunk, including my hip and thigh too.

Then I massage my face using the middle and ring fingers with upward and outward strokes, and circular motions. I did it gently all over the face, including under chin area from side to side.

I take very little of coconut oil on my face because I don't want too much oily on my face. Just make a thin layer for facial massage.

Do it for couple minutes or more if you have time. This is to ensure that coconut oil is well absorbed into my skin so that it doesn't feel greasy and oily.

That's it. I am ready to get dressed.

One more thing, I replace a lip balm with the coconut oil moisturizer.

It's amazing. I can get rid of painful dry cracking lips, especially during the winter.

What About You?

Would you like to try coconut oil for your skin?

It's pure natural, safe and effective.

If you are looking for another next skin lotion, I would recommend virgin coconut oil. It gives you the best nutrient out of the others.

And you will be amazed with the result from applying coconut oil moisturizer.

Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

February 27, 2017
Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

Cold pressed coconut oil is one of the many different kinds of coconut oil available, such as organic, virgin, unrefined, and so on. “Cold pressing” is one of the methods used to actually extract the oil from the coconut and, as you may have guessed, is the method used to produce cold pressed coconut oil.

The method used to extract coconut oil can be one of the biggest determining factors when it comes to the quality of the coconut oil itself. There are two extract methods used that are the most popular:
  • by cold pressing coconut kernels
  • by boiling coconut milk

What Makes Cold Pressed Coconut Oil So Special?

It’s pretty well known that boiling foods is one of the best ways to destroy vital vitamins and nutrients that they contain, which is why cold pressing is the more preferred method of coconut oil extraction. The specific method of cold pressing used, again, determines the price, quality, and scent of the coconut oil extracted.

Cold Pressed Coconut OilDon’t be fooled by this fancy terminology, though – just because coconut oil is cold pressed doesn’t mean it’s more expensive! In fact, this more nutrient-rich version of coconut oil is actually right around the same price point as your typical coconut oil.

What it really comes down to is personal preference – some people enjoy the scent and texture of cold pressed, others like regular, others like unrefined. All you can really do is try them all and figure out what you like the best!

Explore The Various Facts And Figures About Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

The cold press technique is by and large acknowledged to handle higher quality items than the other strategies for extraction, which utilize a high temperature source to boil fresh coconut milk from small coconuts.

This is on account of the fact that high temperature in the second case breaks down a percentage of the ingredients in the material, bringing about a less fragrant and tasty cold pressed coconut oil, and with fewer cell reinforcing elements.

Cold pressed oil is a kind of item produced through the same way. The ensuing coconut oil is not further refined or handled, to help in holding a great part of the common flavor and fragrance of the characteristic item. The natural item is by and large generated in this way too, just with stricter controls in the matter of how the coconuts are developed.

How cold pressed coconut oil produced?

Cold pressed coconut oil is produced from copra, which is the dried flesh of developed coconuts. To get the copra, full-grown coconuts are reaped by hand 4 times each year and afterward torn open with a hatchet or spike.

The flesh on the inner part is scooped out and after that dried. The drying is regularly done basically by laying the copra out in the sun. There are more praiseworthy drying routines, for example, sun based dryers, however they are not in abundant usage in numerous coconut processing areas.

Once the copra has been sufficiently dried, it is taken to the presses, where weight is applied to handle and process this material. Cold pressed coconut oil alludes to the items generated in this way.

However there are diverse sorts of presses that could be utilized. Mechanical presses can heat up the coconut oil more than manual presses, thus the ensuing coconut oil is sometimes poor in quality. Manual presses are all the more excessive in terms of use. Along these lines the ensuing coconut oil is more unmanageable.

Some proven research on cold pressed coconut oil

Research has showcased the novel capability cold presses coconut oil to totally destroy infections by dissolving the membrane that secures them. Once uncovered, numerous infections are no match for the body’s immunity system. Without its defensive lipid layer, the connection between the infection and the host cell it attacked is broken, making it extremely troublesome to re-infect or develop again. And this is the exact impact that the oil appears to have on infections and other pathogenic agents.

Taking into account these discoveries, expeller pressed coconut oil and lauric acid have ended up progressively popular with HIV and AIDS patients, as they have been demonstrated to definitely diminish viral loads and avoid a large portion of the illnesses connected with debilitated immunity systems.

Accordingly, doctors now normally utilize coconut oil when treating patients with dangerous diseases.

The uplifting news doesn’t stop there. MCT ‘s, particularly those in organic cold pressed coconut oil, are not extracted in the way that other immersed fats are. Rather, they are promptly metabolized by the liver and utilized as a quick source of energy.

There are a few individuals who have had the capacity to kick their caffeine addictions, and accept that one week of supplementation can persuade any individual to accept the benefits of coconut oil. Truth be told, numerous doctors now prescribe the coconut oil cold pressed variant to patients who fight and struggle with every day episodes of ceaseless weakness.

Furthermore, coconut oil is a standout among the most digestion friendly ingredients on earth. It has solid antiviral, antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that help in keeping a check on the microorganisms in the body and help in proper metabolism. In light of the fact that it is metabolized quickly by the liver and sent to the circulation system, less strain is put on the digestive procedure.

What Does It Really Mean?

Cold Pressed Coconut Oil is commonly available in the market today. The quality is higher than Hot-Pressed coconut oil which uses dried coconut meat (copra) to extract the oil.

What does "Cold-Pressed" mean?

Well, people said that the word "Cold-Pressed" is borrowed from the olive oil industry where the oil is made by fresh olive, no high-heat and no chemical additives are used. The final result is Virgin Olive Oil.

Likewise, in regard of coconut oil, the term "Cold-Pressed" describes the method used to extract the oil from fresh coconut.

The method applies little to no heat, and no chemical solvents are added.

The final result is usually Virgin Coconut Oil, the most recommended type that's best for your health.

A lot of people are misled by this term. They understand that "Cold Pressed" is the way to extract coconut oil only by pressing method.

In fact, it is not necessary to extract the oil only by PRESSING. Cold-Pressed can also cover other means of extraction such as fermentation, centrifugation and distillation.

As for fresh coconut meat, it should be a ripe coconut where its husk is peeled off. And the coconut shell is then chopped in half so we can scoop fresh coconut meat out of the shell. Fresh coconut meat is grated or chopped into small pieces.

We use grated coconut as an initial material for Cold-Pressed coconut oil extraction.

There are two main types of Cold-Pressed method:

1. Dry Process

Grated coconut will be dried for a moment in order to reduce the moisture down to less than 2%.
And then dried, fresh coconut meat will be taken into pressing machine to press the oil out. And the final product becomes Virgin Coconut Oil. Most of the times we call this process "Expeller Pressed".

2. Wet Process

As for wet process, we use coconut milk as the initial material. The concept is to separate the oil from emulsion (protein and water) presented in coconut milk.

To extract Cold Pressed coconut oil, coconut milk is sent to the different extracting methods such as fermentation, centrifugation and distillation. And we will eventually get Virgin Coconut Oil as the final product.

If you are looking for good quality of coconut oil, just take a look at the word "Cold-Pressed" on the product label.

"Cold-Pressed" ensures a high amount of healthy nutrients in coconut oil. Why?

Because no High-Heat is used during the process, you get higher nutrients than the refined coconut oil or the RBD type of coconut oil.

Fresh Shores Coconut Oil Review

February 20, 2017
Fresh Shores Coconut Oil
Fresh Shores coconut oil was initially introduced by Dr. Joseph Mercola , a famous natural health expert and an osteopathic physician, board certified in family medicine.

He has a strong vision in helping and encouraging people to live healthy, finding the way to empower and take control of their health.

That's why some of you may know this oil as " Mercola coconut oil", according to the founder's name. In fact, he offers a wide range of Mercola healthy products that might be of your interest.
Okay, back to my experience of use...

Fresh Shores extra virgin coconut oil is one of my favorite healthy oils I have ever taken.

To be honest, I had tested a number of different brands of virgin coconut oil. But with Fresh Shores, I can feel the nice healthy taste of gentle coconut flavor, comparing to other brands.

I often toss a teaspoon or two of the oil into my banana smoothie, and enjoy the great taste during the weekend.

And boy, I can feel a perfect blend of banana and good coconut flavor taste in every drink. It's kind of tropical flair!

When you open a lid, you can see the oil in a water-like clear color. Unlike most fermented cheap coconut oils, Fresh shores coconut oil has a mild aroma coconut scent.

You can feel the healthy, fresh and mild coconut flavor in your mouth when you first taste it.
Fresh Shores virgin coconut oil is made from 100% organic, fresh coconuts that are open, and ready to be extracted within 48 hours after picking from the trees.

After chopping, the coconuts will immediately be passed through the Cold-Pressed. This is to make a coconut emulsion. And then it will be chilled to help pull out the oils, the milk goes through a centrifuge in order to spin the pure oil away from the water layer. This yields an unrefined, pure and natural, highly heat stable coconut oil.
Fresh Shores does NOT use dried "copra" to make cheap coconut oil. It may contain dirt, fungi, yeast, and other insanitary stuff coming in during sun exposure. Well, I agree with Dr. Mercola that such oils are not suitable for human consumption.

On the other hand, with Fresh shores, you can always get 100% organic, fresh virgin coconut oil with a maximum health benefits to your body.

One interesting point that sets Fresh Shores coconut oil apart from other brands is that the rich amount of healthy lauric acid. They claim that you can get a whopping of 57% of lauric acid while only 42-49% of this healthy acid is available in typical coconut oils. That's even more greater to your health, isn't it?

They also proved that the oil has a fresh and mild, coconut flavor by going through a blindfolded taste test. And this wonderful taste can absolutely beat out other brands. Moreover, the Lab analysis also guaranteed the highest nutritional content available in this tropical oil.

The reason why Fresh Shores is one of the highest quality virgin coconut oils is because it is...
  • Certified organic by USDA standards
  • No refining
  • No chemicals added (including hexane)
  • No bleaching
  • No deodorization
  • No hydrogenation
  • Made from traditional coconut palms only, no hybrid or genetically modified (GMO) varieties
  • Made from fresh coconuts, not the dried "copra" used in cheap oils
  • Made without heat processing
They also claim that their coconut oil has the longest shelf life of any oils. Let's say two or more years. You don't need to put it in the fridge. However, it should be stored out of direct sunlight in order to retain its best healthy nutrient as much as possible.

They recommend taking 3 - 3 1/2 tablespoons per day of Fresh Shores coconut oil so that you can get the full range of health benefits of coconut oil from inside out. This is the amount recommended for adults.

Fresh Shores coconut oil comes in a glass jar and a pail which serve for 3 different sizes:
  • 1 Pint (16 ounce) -- offered in a clear glass jar
  • 1 Quart (32 ounce) -- offered in a clear glass jar
  • 1 Gallon (128 ounce) -- offered in a bulk pail
At one tablespoon per serving, you can get 32 servings for the pint size, 64 servings for the quart size, and a whopping 256 servings for the economical gallon size!

As for pricing, in my opinion, Fresh Shores offers the reasonable price for its premium virgin coconut oil. They even promise to provide you a Lifetime 100% Satisfaction Guarantee so you can try it risk free!

If you want an organic, unrefined virgin coconut oil for the best to your health, Fresh Shores is one of your excellent choices you should try it out.

I think it's worth buying and is well money spent. I recommend you give it a try and you won't be disappointed with what you expected to get. I hope you'll love the healthy, fresh coconut taste and the incredible health benefits of Fresh Shores Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

Eat Coconut Oil For Healthy Cholesterol

February 14, 2017
Coconut Oil For Cholesterol
Studies have shown that although eating coconut oil increases your HDL (good cholesterol), it helps improve your whole cholesterol ratio. It’s the best oil you can have to protect yourself from heart disease. It’s even better than “heart healthy” oils such as canola, safflower, or soybean.

It’s important to pay more attention to your cholesterol ratio versus your cholesterol values. It is a fact that the ratio is a far more accurate way of indicating heart disease than that of the total cholesterol. The total cholesterol can be misleading and really is a poor indicator when putting these numbers together.

This is so because the total cholesterol doesn’t tell you how much of it is the good cholesterol (HDL) and how much of it is the bad cholesterol (LDL). A person can have a high total cholesterol, but if a large percentage of this is the HDL, then the risk for heart disease is low.

In any case, your cholesterol ratio should be lowered along with your risk of heart disease when coconut oil is added to your daily diet. In reading an article, ”How to lower high cholesterol naturally without prescription drugs”, I learned what Mike Adams does to maintain his healthy cholesterol ratio naturally.

“How to lower high cholesterol naturally without prescription drugs” written by Mike Adams, Editor of wrote what he does to maintain his healthy cholesterol ratio:

Regular physical exercise

The key is to do something physical every day and stick with it. We were meant to move and in order to stay healthy, we must get moving each and every day.

Eliminate processed foods

Try not to eat any manufactured foods such as junk food, breads, packaged cereals, frozen foods, fried foods, candy bars, cookies, pastas, cow’s milk, or red meat.

Red meat is a big no no because it raises the bad cholesterol (LDL). It’s also important to not eat any type of oil that has been hydrogenated, these are not good for you.

Eat foods with all natural ingredients

I typically buy all my food organic. A lot of the supermarket chains are adding more organic variety to their selections including cereals, pastas, milk, cookies, candy bars, and chicken. Also avoid chemical ingredients such as MSG, sodium nitrite, aspartame and other chemical sweeteners.

No soft drinks, soda, or fruit juices

This may be difficult for some but the best thing for the body is water.

Herbs, vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements

Some include spirulina, quinoa, soy products, green food powders, and chlorella

Plenty of fiber

Eat a lot of pecans, cashews, macadamia nuts, and other kinds.

Eat Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Daily

Even though many say that coconut oil is bad for you because it is a saturated fat, yet when eaten on a daily basis proves its consistency of having excellent cardiovascular health.

While it will not reduce your total cholesterol, it’s greatest effect is on the HDL. Most vegetable oils will increase this ratio and also increase your risk of heart disease.

Organic coconut oil does just the opposite. In fact, when these ratios are evaluated, it proves that coconut oil reduces the risk of heart disease.

Fact: Eating organic coconut oil does not lead to high cholesterol or coronary heart disease.

Liver Cleanse Diet Natural Dietary Oil That Keeps Your Liver Healthier

February 14, 2017
natural liver cleanse diet
If you're looking for natural liver cleanse diet, look for coconut oil. It is one of the healthiest dietary oil that helps detoxify your liver to a great extent.

Studies from Kono H, et al. found that the medium-chain triglycerides can help prevent the liver from alcohol-induced injury caused by free radical.
A lot of research shows identical results of the experiment.
In addition, not only does coconut oil prevent this type of injury, but it also recovers the liver's tissue to the normal condition.

Each organ in our body, the liver is probably the only one that benefits the most out of coconut oil.

Because the liver gets stressed all the time. It needs to...
  • filter toxin out of blood stream.
  • convert toxin into neutral condition.
  • rearrange and builds new lipid and protein structures.
  • convert the fats into energy.
  • collect energy.
  • And many more...

Diseases, including free radicals, tends to bombard the liver, causing a decrease in liver function.
The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in coconut oil work greatly as the liver cleanse diet.
The MCTs can relieve stress at the liver due to the antioxidants and antimicrobial agents in MCTs.
In addition, coconut oil has a wonderful property for a natural detox. It converts the toxic conditions into the neutral ones.

Taking coconut oil diet can really help reduce stress at the liver. The liver no longer works harder. It works less, giving a stress relief. This is because of a decrease in a number of free radicals, and less infection.

Further more, the MCTs in coconut oil are a good energy source for the liver as well. The liver can burn them all up and turn into energy instantly, giving a metabolism boost.

Coconut oil has the minimum cholesterol possible. With this property, it helps reduce the amount of cholesterol inside the liver tissue.

Of course, the unsaturated oils reduce blood cholesterol. However, this amount of cholesterol will collect to the liver. And it results in an increase in cholesterol that sticks to the liver tissue.
Daily taking coconut oil really helps reduce not only blood cholesterol, but the one sticking to the liver tissue as well.

Here's the quote from a sudy conducted by AB Awad in 1981:

A study by Awad (1981) on Wistar rats fed a diet of either 14% (natural) coconut oil or 14% safflower oil. Total tissue cholesterol accumulation for animals on the safflower diet was six times greater than for animals fed the [unhydrogenated] coconut oil.

If you're looking for natural liver cleanse diet, simply try coconut oil. Taking one or two tablespoon of virgin coconut oil everyday can improve the liver health a great deal.

Nutiva Coconut Oil Review

February 14, 2017
Nutiva Coconut Oil Review
Nutiva coconut oil has successfully done a good job bringing a large number of sales since the last couple of years. That's why Nutiva, the U.S. based Company, becomes one of today world's leading brands of organic, raw foods.

Here's the list showing some of Nutiva's popolar products:
  • Chia Seed
  • Coconut Manna
  • Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Hemp Protein Powder
  • Hempseed
  • HempShake
As more people begin to realize the health benefits of traditional, raw, and organic foods, Nutiva's reputation are spreading over not only the United Sates, but also the world.

However, the oil is not available in Thailand (I live here). So I got my brother to buy one for me. And that was the time he was about back to Thailand from the United States.

I actually got the coconut oil by, maybe, June of this year (2011). This is the only way to get it. Why?
Because it's hard to find any online retailers who ship the product to Thailand, only to the U.S. region.

And if they do, the shipping cost will be very high, much more than the coconut oil price itself.

Now... Nutiva coconut oil is right here, in front of me. I can't wait to see what it looks like.
So I open the box right away. And I found that the oil comes with a pack of two tubs (15 ounce each).

Packaging Quality

The package looks just right. But what comes under my expectation was the plastic jar they use as coconut oil container.

I know that many people, especially those who use a lot of coconut oil, would just accept the "horrifying" risks of plastic jars rather than paying a fortune for shipping glass jar. But what I think is probably different from what they do.

3 Reasons why plastic jar is not good to your health...
  1. The oil is a solvent so it is inevitably going to leech some plastic chemicals if stored in a plastic container. You will notice plastic taste the longer you keep opening the lid and exposing the plastic container to the oxygen that speed up the breakdown of plastic.
  2. Some plastics do not protect oils from oxygen, and so coconut oil mixes with some plastics at the molecular level. After all, how do we know exactly which one is good enough to keep the oils safe from oxygen?
  3. In my opinion, it's worth paying a little higher of a glass jar shipping than the plastic one. It's not too costly to keep me safe from toxin.

I've seen many folks online complaining about low packaging quality of Nutiva coconut oil. And that's also true to my case.

I found out that one jar has the oil leak from inside out the bottle. I thought it was probably because of a loose bottle cap that allows the oil leaks out the gap during the travel. However, the other one has a good tight seal lid, no oil leak at all.

They should be sealing well before shipping the product to the customer. Hopefully, it will signal to Nutiva team to better the quality inspection as fast as possible. After all, the customers want what they expected to get when buying the products or services.

How About the Taste?

As for the taste, I think it has very much REAL and NATURAL coconut-y flavor. The taste is not sugary and aromatic that much. So it's perfect if you're using this oil as a substitute for butter and margarine.

I love to spread it on the toast, and eat it with a hot cup of coffee. That's marvelous! If you like real coconut flavor, this oil will be the best cooking oil for your dish that really calls for coconut flavor.

Is There Any Good of Nutiva?

Any more "Cons"?

Well... that's enough (for me). Now it's time for the " Pros" :-)

Nutiva claims that their coconut oil is second to none!

This is because Nutiva coconut oil is made from Organic, fresh coconuts that will be sent to pressing right away after harvesting and chopping, while other brands waits more than 10 hours before pressing the oil.

The longer they wait, the worse coconut flavor is.

Umm... that's very interesting point!

If you find any tiny brown specks at the bottom of Nutiva's Coconut oil, don't be panic and throw it away. Just keep it. These brown specks are from the coconut oil fiber and are natural to extra-virgin coconut oil.

Read the list below and see if this is the coconut oil that you really want.

Nutiva's Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil is...
  • Certified organic and non-GMO
  • Made from fresh coconuts, not dried copra
  • Cold-pressed
  • Unrefined
  • Chemical-free
  • Unfermented
  • Unbleached
  • Undeodorized
  • Unhydrogenated
  • No Solvents
  • Pure white like fresh coconut
  • Tastes like fresh coconut
  • Has a fresh coconut fragrance
  • Made with our Fresh Is Best™ commitment

Check It Out!

If you want to get the Organic, Virgin Coconut Oil with Real and Natural coconut flavor, then I highly recommend Nutiva Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to you. It might be one of your excellent choice that you shouldn't miss out. It's well money spent for such high quality organic, virgin coconut oil.

Whipped Extra Virgin Coconut Oil for Skin

February 13, 2017
Whipped Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
I love coconut oil. I use an unscented version for baking and roasting, and … I use it every morning and evening an extra virgin coconut oil on my face! It smells good, it’s soft and it pulls nice and quickly.

The disadvantage may be that only the coconut oil (which under cool conditions is hard) is quite difficult from the pot. On colder days, it may even be quite a lot of effort. On YouTube I saw several movies come by, among other beauty bloggers who “whipped coconut oil ‘made and I thought: I can do that! Its super simple and really worth a try.

The virgin coconut oil is mixing nicely light and creamy, making it easy to spread and is much easier coming from the pot.
what do you need? Coconut oil (I use extra virgin coconut oil here, because it smells and what ‘richer’) and a (hand) mixer.

That’s it!

You do not believe me? Then check out the video below it! Mixing takes about 5 minutes if you do not make too much at once.

If you want to mix a whole jar of coconut oil then you maybe a little longer busy.

And this is the result: delicious creamy coconut cream that lubricates wonderfully smooth. Good coconut smell just keeps preserved, I like that. Furthermore, it is nice to think that nothing else so you will need for this cream. Pure coconut, that’s it!
Here I used a jar of extra virgin coconut oil that we have received. Normally we buy a jar of extra virgin Royal Green, at the health food store.

Such a pot costs about $6 to $8. In the shop you’ll sometimes cheaper coconut oil against. Then you pay about $3.50, but then you have no biological or extra virgin variety. However, the result (whipped) is the same, only it does not really smell like coconut.

The whipped virgin coconut oil can be kept in the fridge, but then you have a chance that it is a bit hard. Outside the refrigerator can also. Be always sure that the oil is in a tightly sealed jar or bowl.

The whipped oil is good to use as a day cream, but of course you can use it for example, your hands or your lips. I think the use of virgin coconut oil anyway recommended.

It’s natural; extra virgin coconut oil is very good for your skin and also very cheap. Compare it with the prices of regular day creams! This whipped variant is fun to make and easy to use!

Coconut Oil Shampoo

February 12, 2017
Coconut Oil Shampoo
Coconut oil shampoo is another natural hair shampoo that has just been popular for few years. I think it is more than typical shampoo out there.

However, if you want to get the most out of coconut oil, I would recommend you to use pure organic coconut oil instead of coconut oil shampoo.

This is because you never know which type of coconut oil the manufacturer put into the shampoo.

It's quite hard to specify the exact amount of the coconut oil mixed in the shampoo.

The benefits of coconut oil vary from one to another type of the oil.

However, with pure organic coconut oil, you can absolutely get the most out of it.

Personally, I would stick with pure organic coconut oil. I think it's worth using rather than coconut oil shampoo and other coconut oil related products.

I love virgin coconut oil because the result is wonderful.

Anyway, if you want to try on shampoo, remember to look carefully at the ingredient on the bottle.
It would be good if the product contains coconut oil as the main ingredient. That means you will get more nutrients from the product.

And most importantly, it's worth paying.

Okay, I would like to share how I treat my hair with virgin coconut oil at home, step-by-step. Here we go...

How to Treat Your Hair with Coconut Oil

  1. Take a tablespoon or two of pure coconut oil, and put it into a small bowl. Take more of the oil if you have long hair.

If you have a shoulder-length hair, about two tablespoons of coconut oil would be enough.

  2. Steep it separately in another larger bowl with hot water. Avoid it spills over into the small bowl. Stir the oil to make it melt quicker.

  3. Once the coconut oil is melted and warm enough, spoon it and drip it on your scalp. It would be better if you separate your hair wide enough so that you can see the scalp. This is to allow most of the oil spreading on the scalp evenly.

  4. Gently massage your scalp while dripping the oil. Make sure you do it evenly. It should take about 2-5 minutes to complete.

  5. Pour the rest of the oil in your palms. Rub it with both palms. Coat your hair with the oil by running your hands along the hair, from the root to the end. Make sure the oil thoroughly coats your hair as you go.

  6. Gather your hair and twist it. Then, hold it firmly on top of your head with hairpins or hairclips.

  7. Soak a small towel into the water in the larger bowl where the water should now be warm enough. Wring the towel until it's merely damp.

And wrap it around your head. This helps steam your hair and scalp, and activates the blood circulation in your head so the oil can nourish your hair deeply.

  8. Leave it for an hour or two . Then, remove the towel and wash your hair with gentle shampoo and follow with conditioner (if you want). In fact, you don't necessarily need hair conditioner because your hair now becomes very soft after steaming.
For best result, you should do this for 2-3 times a week. In a few weeks, you will be amazed at the result that you get.

By the way, what about coconut oil shampoo?

Are you looking for it?

Good. I hear you say "yes".

Okay, here's the tip how to choose the best one.

How to Buy Coconut Oil Shampoo

Well, I can only say that it's quite difficult to know the actual amount of coconut oil in the commercial hair products, unless you are a manufacture owner.

It's really hard to identify the level of each ingredient contained in coconut oil shampoo.
However, the list on the ingredient label may help you.

The easy way to tell if it is a good one is to take a look to at the ingredient label on the bottle. And see if the product contains coconut oil as a major ingredient.

Normally, the most common item should be listed on the top of the list. If you see the 'Coconut Oil' item listed near the end of the list, it is possible that this product gives you fewer amounts of coconut oil than others.

How to Make It at Home

If you're looking for the coconut oil shampoo, I suggest choosing a reputable one that is 100% pure organic.

Use it as the most common ingredient, and you'll be never disappointed.

Anyway, if you have time, a homemade shampoo might be a better choice for you.

Making it at home ensures that you'll definitely get 100% natural shampoo, whereas many commercial products don't.

Moreover, you can save money from buying typical commercial hair products (remember, you can't tell if they are 100% good).

Can't Find the VCO?

All in all, coconut oil shampoo could be beneficial for you if you can't find pure organic coconut oil in your area of living. In some countries, it is easier to find the shampoo in the market than the pure oil like virgin coconut oil (VCO).

However, it would be better for you to use coconut oil shampoo rather than others that contain harsh chemicals. At least, coconut oil still gives you the healthy nutrients more or less.

Coconut Oil Shampoo

Coconut oil is well known for the health benefits it provides for your hair. While rubbing pure coconut oil in your hair like a conditioner works wonders, wouldn’t it be nice if you could get the conditioning benefits of coconut oil while also cleaning your hair?

Good news! The increasingly popular coconut oil shampoo gives your hair the sleek shine and elasticity that coconut oil does while also leaving it feeling fresh and clean.

While other conditioners can give you the tangle-free hair you desire, coconut oil shampoo does this while also improving the overall health of your hair and simultaneously cleaning it which regular conditioners just don’t do. Did I mention that it leaves your hair smelling amazing? Coconut scented shampoos are some of the best smelling shampoos available on the market.

If you want to smell like a commoner, then go right ahead and continue using you’re typical, chemical-ridden shampoos. But if you want to smell like royalty – like me, the Coconut Oil King! – then hurry and get some coconut oil shampoo immediately.
