Home-Made Lotion:What you will need:
- organic coconut oil
- coffee grinds
- glass container
- fine mesh strainer
Step 1If the coconut oil is in solid form, you want to turn it to liquid simply by gently heating some up. Put a few tablespoons of c.o. into a glass container and place it in a small pot of hot water until it turns to liquid.
If your coconut oil is already in liquid form, you still want to heat it up a bit before adding the coffee grinds.
Step 2Add a few tablespoons of fresh, unused coffee grinds to the c.o.
Step 3Let the coffee grinds steep for a few minutes, then strain the mixture with a fine mesh strainer. Some of the grinds will pass through, this is perfectly fine.
Step 4Pour the mixture into a container and put it in the refrigerator to set.
It doesn’t take long at all to set, so you will be on your way to treating your cellulite with your very own home-made lotion.
My Morning Routine:Before I take a shower or bath in the morning, I dry brush my skin to remove the dead skin cells. This is something I just learned about and it helps to eliminate toxins from the body by stimulating the blood flow.
With dry brushing, you’re basically unclogging your pores so toxins can exit the body, improving the texture of your skin, and getting rid of cellulite. It also helps the coconut oil to enter the body and nourish the skin.
Step 1: Dry BrushingThis process just takes a few minutes. You want to get a brush with boar bristles or fibers from plants. Avoid ones that are too harsh on the skin. You can start off with a loofah.
Starting with your feet, move towards the heart in a circular motion. From your feet, dry brush one leg at a time, starting with the back then moving to the front of the leg, one at at time.
Remember to always use circular movements towards the heart. You want to avoid sensitive areas such as your face, the inside of your thighs, and your nipples.
I usually do this in the shower with the water off.
